3. Clothes should be locally produced to reduce the carbon footprint
4. Clothes should be recycled and reused in order to reduce the overall production of clothing
5. Buy from small independent stores, second-hand shops or sustainable brands
Sustainable Materials Used in Sustainable Fashion
Recycled Cotton
Cotton is one of the most highly used materials for clothing so it's important to find a way to recycle cotton and reuse it for NEW clothing.
Organic Hemp
Hemp is sustainable because it requires little water and is one of the least polluting crops to harvest! It also gets softer every time you wash it.

This is a natural fabric that comes from the flax plant. It requires little water which makes it sustainable.
Lyocell
Lyocell is made from sustainably harvested Eucalyptus trees and processed through a closed-loop system (this means that solvents and water are continuously reused).
